Bambu

Österreichische Post released the Bambu crypto stamp on 5 August 2025 as the fourth character in its Comic Characters series for Crypto stamp Island. The design features a cozy panda known for his relaxed nature and big appetite, joining previous characters Aurora Sparks, Kabosu, and Raka. With a limited edition of 7,500 pieces and a retail price of €9.90, this stamp continues Austrian Post's blockchain-based philatelic program that began in 2019.

The Bambu motif depicts a laid-back panda character consistent with the playful aesthetic of the Crypto stamp Island narrative. The stamp was issued in five color variants with descending print runs: Schwarz (black, 3,925 copies), Grün (green, 2,000 copies), Blau (blue, 1,000 copies), Gelb (yellow, 500 copies), and Rot (red, 75 copies). As with earlier releases in the series, rarer color variants were distributed randomly within sealed packaging, encouraging a secondary market among collectors.

The edition follows the established format of Austrian Post's mainstream crypto stamp program, combining a physical postage stamp with a corresponding digital asset on the blockchain. While the specific blockchain platform and contract address were not disclosed at launch, the series maintains compatibility with Austrian Post's existing crypto stamp infrastructure. Distribution occurred through postal outlets and authorized dealers, with collectors able to verify authenticity and rarity through the associated digital certificate.
