Crypto Stamp Art Hackatao — Mozart & Hedy Lamarr of 4 June 2025 is the fourth CSA edition by Österreichische Post — and the second collaboration with Hackatao after the success of the Sisi edition (December 2024). The rapid re-engagement within six months signals: the Sisi edition was successful enough to establish the artist relationship as a long-term program pillar.

Second Hackatao Collaboration

The repetition with the same artist duo is unique in the CSA program. So far there had been a clear artist rotation: Pr1mal Cypher (2022) → FVCKRENDER (2023) → Hackatao (2024). With the Mozart edition, Österreichische Post breaks this pattern — Hackatao gets a second iteration.

The reasoning behind this is multi-layered:

Structural validation. The Sisi edition sold quickly and established the soulbound token concept as a mature mechanic. Instead of starting from scratch with a new artist, the Mozart edition builds on proven mechanics.

Hackatao's connectivity. Sergio Scalet and Nadia Squarci have proven that they can interpret Austrian subjects through international crypto art lenses — and at the same time consistently apply the yin-yang concept approach.

Market strategy. The Sisi edition primarily attracted European Habsburg fans. The Mozart edition extends the collector segment by Mozart enthusiasts worldwide (a significantly larger global demographic) as well as science historians and feminism enthusiasts (through the Lamarr component).

Concept: Genius and Inventor Spirit

Hackatao formulated the conceptual foundation of the edition literally:

"Mozart's compositions continue to hypnotize the world, while Lamarr's scientific genius, once hidden under the glamour of Hollywood, is now a beacon for the feminism of the future. These two lives, seemingly different, share a common thread: an unstoppable urge to go beyond conventions."

This connection of genius (Mozart) and inventor spirit (Lamarr) is more cleverly chosen than it appears at first glance. Both personalities share several characteristics:

1. Austrian origin: Mozart born in Salzburg, Lamarr born in Vienna
2. International impact: Both achieved global significance far beyond Austria
3. Convention breakers: Mozart broke composition conventions of his time, Lamarr broke gender conventions of her time
4. Multi-layered identities: Both had public and hidden aspects of their identity

The Four Motifs

The edition comprises 10,000 stamps in 4 motifs of 2,500 pieces each — analogous to the Sisi edition. The yin-yang mechanic is here applied to a single person, rather than to two people as in Sisi:

1. Mozart der Maestro

Classical Mozart portrait — the dignified composer in the solemn gesture of composing. The canonical Mozart depiction. Collectors wanting to collect "Mozart" receive the familiar maestro here.

2. Amadeus der Prankster

Playful Mozart — the personal side. Mozart was historically actually known for jokes, ribald letters, and musical pranks (see his "Bona Nox" composition with its unusually crude lyrics). Hackatao show this side as counterpart to the maestro. The yin-yang mechanic of the Sisi edition is condensed here onto one person: two aspects of the same personality, instead of two different people.

3. Lamarr der Star

Hollywood Lamarr — the iconic actress of the 1930s-1950s. With characteristic glamour aesthetics (perfectly styled hair, film glow, diamond jewelry). This variant is the popular, superficial view of Lamarr — as the world primarily perceived her for decades.

4. Hedy the Mind

Inventor Lamarr — the scientific side long hidden under Hollywood glamour. Conceptually the most valuable of the four variants: she represents the "true" Lamarr.

Hedy Lamarr's Scientific Legacy

Hedy Lamarr's scientific work deserves its own explanation — because it is the key to understanding why she fits perfectly as a crypto stamp motif:

The frequency hopping patent (1942). Hedy Lamarr and composer George Antheil filed a patent on 10 June 1941 titled "Secret Communication System." The patent described a frequency hopping procedure (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum, FHSS): radio signals switch in rapid sequence between different frequencies, making them difficult to intercept and difficult to jam. Patent US 2,292,387 was granted on 11 August 1942.

Military significance. The patent was originally intended for radio-controlled torpedoes in World War II — an anti-Axis-powers invention. The US Navy used the procedure only years later, from the 1960s.

Civilian significance. Frequency hopping technology became the foundation of modern wireless communication:

• Bluetooth uses frequency hopping over 79 channels in the 2.4 GHz band
• WiFi uses similar spread-spectrum techniques
• GPS uses related code-division multiple-access methods
• Mobile networks (especially CDMA) are based on related concepts

The pointe: crypto stamps are activated via smartphones that use WiFi and Bluetooth — technologies that directly trace back to Lamarr's inventions. The Hackatao Lamarr edition is thus a double homage: to the person and to the technological foundation of the crypto stamp concept itself.

NFC Lisbon Premiere

The edition was presented on 4 June 2025 at NFC Lisbon 2025 — one of the most important NFT and crypto art conferences in Europe. Hackatao announced the premiere on X (formerly Twitter) on 27 May 2025 with the words:

"We return with a whisper of history and a spark of invention! Our second journey with the Austrian Post is ready to unfold — this time, in honor of two kindred spirits: Mozart and Hedy Lamarr."

This international premiere is a deliberate step analogous to the NFT.NYC premiere of the Gold Doge edition 2021: international stages amplify brand presence and extend the collector pool beyond Austria.

Mythos Mozart Museum

A special distribution location is the Mythos Mozart Museum in Vienna — a modern immersive museum depicting Mozart's life and work in contemporary multimedia form. Unlike classical Mozart houses (e.g. the Mozart birthplace in Salzburg), the Mythos Mozart Museum is aimed at younger, technology-affine visitors — a perfect distribution location for a crypto art edition.

Soulbound Token

The Mozart edition adopts unchanged the soulbound token concept of the Sisi edition: the NFT is physically and inseparably bound to the stamp. This mechanic is no longer innovation but established standard in the CSA program. Collectors expect the soulbound mechanic — it has become part of the Crypto Stamp Art brand.

Sales Performance

Unlike the Sisi edition (quickly sold out), the Mozart edition sold moderately reservedly — "a few days after the launch, all 4 variants were still available." Possible reasons:

1. Market saturation: In 2025, many collectors are already well supplied with Hackatao NFTs from the Sisi edition
2. Price consistency: 21.80 EUR remained constant — no additional premium announcement
3. Conceptual complexity: The yin-yang-on-one-person mechanic is more subtle than the Sisi edition (two people)

5. General mature phase: Marker for the generally extended sellout times from 2024 onward
