"Tuppenny Blue" — Penny Black counterpart
Completes the trilogy of the world's first three postage stamps — phygital reward on Common Special Edition + Secret Rare
Third and final edition of the Stanley Gibbons-VeVe phygital trilogy, completing the first three postage stamps in the world. Features the Two Penny Blue 1840 (SG5), also called Tuppenny Blue — historically significantly rarer than the Penny Black (~1.6 million printed vs. 68 million). The edition introduces two phygital tiers for the first time: A Secret Rare Plate 1 mint block of 12 stamps (SE-TJ) — the largest known mint multiple from Plate 1 in private hands, from the Dublin Post Office Find. A Special Edition 1-of-1 Plate 1 block of 6 stamps (OJ-PL). Drop expected October 2025 on Immutable X with 4,906 NFTs.

Trilogy Completion
Third and final edition of the SG-VeVe phygital trilogy. Completes the first three postage stamps collection:
- ✓ Penny Black (6 October 2024)
- ✓ Penny Red (20 July 2025)
- → Two Penny Blue (Q4 2025) ← this edition
Why Two Penny Blue
In 1840, simultaneously with the Penny Black, the Two Penny Blue was issued for heavier letters or longer distances at 2 pence postage. Counterpart design to the Penny Black: same Queen Victoria profile, but blue instead of black.
Rarity
Two Penny Blue is significantly rarer than the Penny Black:
- Penny Black: ~68 million printed
- Two Penny Blue: ~1.6 million printed (factor 42:1)
Plate 1 stamps are particularly sought-after — historically there are few surviving mint multiples from Plate 1.
Highlight: Plate 1 Block of 12 (Dublin Post Office Find)
The Secret Rare NFT of the edition is based on a Plate 1 mint block of 12 (lettered SE-TJ) — largest known mint multiple from Plate 1 in private hands. Provenance: Dublin Post Office Find. Preserved with full deckle-edge margin and sheet inscription.
First Double Phygital
First SG-VeVe edition with 2 phygital tiers instead of one:
- Secret Rare: Plate 1 block of 12 (SE-TJ)
- Common Special Edition: Plate 1 block of 6 (OJ-PL)
Date Caveat
⚠️ Exact drop date not publicly confirmed. Estimate ~15 October 2025 based on: crypto-stamps.org update on 19 October 2025 lists the edition as happened, VeVe Series page indexed since 18 October 2025. If Claude Code finds a more precise source, that takes precedence.
